Complexity of Middle Class !

Do we really have a middle class in our society ( according to earning) ? A very old and debatable question. Its true that there’s no “true” and “proper” middle class in our society.And additionally I would like to think that , its a bad luck for us, since its proven that middle class are always pioneer in leading any social revolutions as per history suggests !
Whatever it is , for my current writing I would like to assume that , we have a middle class culture in our society though it’s not really middle class.
Generally what are the most important things other than money in our life ? Answer may vary , but I think you will agree with me that “Religion” and “Sex” are both very potential choices. Thoughts were occurring in my mind for many days, how these really affect peoples mind.
After some days thoughts, I came to a conclusion that , two extreme classes namely Rich and Poor are not bothered by these usually. These bother only the remaining class aka middle class.
Why I am telling this ?
Let’s start with religion.Religion is the most ancient, well established institution among human society having histories greater than thousands years. Most of the religions give the outline of what to do and what not to do. Not to do list is a huge one. Drinking , telling lie, killing etc etc are placed in not to do list. From my experience I have seen that, there are many rich families who regularly make their prayer. Besides they don’t think twice before drinking ( thought I don’t think drinking is an offense) . They all have their high society stuffs and so on.
Same situation lies with Sex too. Most of them really don’t have any complex about sex before marriage, sleeping with other man/woman.
Look at lower class ( poor). They don’t have much headache about religion. You can see lots of rickshaws on street on the time of Friday Jummah Time. Obviously reason behind that is not same for both upper class and lower class. A lower class people is truly more honest than an upper class people ( most of the cases) and he struggles from hand to mouth to for maintaining his livelihood. But the result is same , neither he can’t pay much attention to religion nor it(religion) has a deep impact on his life. Without going much deeper , we can also say that lower class people also don’t have the hesitation about the right or wrong in SEX.
But all the above stated problems are well existed for middle class. they thought twice before making any decisions. Its middle class , who are always bothered about religion, about its instructions, right or wrong etc stuffs. They have also same sort of thinking about sex too.
I guess it’s all about education and ethics. Middle class is such a place, where you have a bit more money than lower class with addition of education. This class always hesitate to take a decision. I don’t know , whether they are doing right or wrong !
May be time can answer this question as well as it does.

Answer is yes for 95% reader , I am pretty much confident about that. Right now I can recall a statistics revealing the fact that , most of the officials in organizations like Pentagon or NASA browse porn in office. So, its nothing unusual.
USA along with other countries have an exponentially growing porn industry. They produce porns under some certain rules and regulation. But still human rights are violated in USA and other countries regarding this business. Specially forceful involvement of children is a giant problem.
We adopt everything from west. I am not saying that , porn was a alien concept to Bangladesh, but internet magnified this problem to a great extent. Neglecting the moral issues, porn is not that much problem when professional artists act there and it is distributed or sold under strict rules. But when some sexual actions are recorded without the permission of one or both of the couple, which is also named as hidden cam porn, raises a hell of threat.
If you are aware enough about what is happening in Bangladesh Internet Circle, then should have known about the hidden cam situations in Bangladesh. Some circles are releasing these porns frequently over internet. Most of this videos clearly indicated that, the female in that video, doesn’t know about the recording. In very rare cases, it is found that both of them are unaware. Few years ago, one young man living in USA and another in Dhaka, trapped many girls by acting of love. You can read them here and here.
But what actually is more devastating ( as I think ), is the mobile/cell camera. With the advancement in technology, cell cameras are heading to their best. Clear image quality, zooming and high resolution, makes all the videos and photos very high quality.
As a active member of many social sites & forums , i have experienced something very horrible. Like a girl in a market place, who is a little unaware about her wardrobe malfunction, is captured by a distant guy with his high zoom mobile cam. No one can ever guess what is that person doing. Trust me , there are thousands of pictures in many Bangladeshi sites including the so-called adult forums of Bangladesh.
Innocents girls have no idea that without a slightest mistake, what kind of pain they are going to face.This kind of things are spreading very fast. Like, only within a day, the photos are spreaded all over the globe. After that, those photos start to circulate in hundreds of forums. Thus, these photos are almost irresistible to spread.
I don’t know what Government is thinking about the problem. OR they even conscious about the problem. But with my little anticipation power, I can see a great devastation. A high social security along with the improvement in mass mentality should be the only remedy.
In next part, I wish to discuss about possible steps to take. Till then take care.

যে দিনের অপেক্ষায়

আমি ঘুমাচ্ছি না, অথচ কেমন যেন ঘুম ঘুম আবেশের মধ্যে আছি।মাথা কাজ করছে ধীরতম গতিতে। দৃষ্টি একদম ঘোলা হয়ে যাচ্ছে। চোখ বুজলেই মনে হচ্ছে অনেক দূরে কোথাও যেন চলে যাচ্ছি কিংবা অনেক উঁচু থেকে নিচে পড়ে যাচ্ছি। একটু মনঃসংযোগ করলেই দেখতে পাচ্ছি, অনেক রঙ দ্রুত গতিতে ছুটে এসে একটা বিন্দুতে এসে একে অপরের সাথে ধাক্কা খাচ্ছে। মূহুর্তেই সেই বিন্দুটা সাদা হয়ে যাচ্ছে, আর ধীরে ধীরে সেই সাদা বিন্দুটা প্রসারিত হয়ে একটা ক্যানভাসের মত ছড়িয়ে পড়ছে আমার চিন্তাতে। আমার চারপাশে কাদের অস্পষ্ট নিচু স্বরের কথা শুনতে পাচ্ছি। হঠাৎ সব রঙের বিন্দুগুলি কোথায় যেন মিলিয়ে গেল, সামনে সূর্যের মত উজ্জ্বল একটা কিছু জ্বলে উঠলো।চোখ ধাধিয়ে গেল এক মূহুর্তের জন্য। কিছু বুঝে উঠার আগেই হঠাৎ যেন ছুটতে শুরু করলাম আমি, একটা টানেলের মধ্য দিয়ে। চারপাশে কুয়াশাঘেরা অবাস্তব একটা দেয়াল। ঐ আলোর খুব কাছেই চলে এলাম। কিন্তু এ তো আলো না, নিরেট শুন্যতা। টানেলের একদম সামনেই আমি আর এক পা এগুলেই আমার সামনে দিগন্ত বিস্তৃত সেই শূন্যতা। একটু থামলাম আমি। পিছন দিকটা ফিরে তাকালাম শেষবার। একটা দীর্ঘশ্বাস ফেলে পা বাড়ালাম শূন্যতার পথে।

ধরি, ক এবং খ … …

একজন লোক, ধরা যাক তার নাম ক। আরেকজন লোক, তার নাম ধরি খ। ক আর খ দুইজনই মানবসভ্যতার এক ক্রান্তি লগ্নের মানুষ। পৃথিবীতে একমাত্র ক ই পারেন গল্প উপন্যাস অর্থাৎ সাহিত্য রচনা করতে। তাই সারা পৃথিবী জুড়ে মানুষের কাছে, ক এর চাহিদা আকাশজোড়া। ক যাই লেখুক না কেন, মানুষ গোগ্রাসে পাঠ করে আর অবাক বিস্ময়ে ভাবে, কি ভাবে পারে একটা মানুষ এরকম লিখতে !
ক এর সবই ভালো – শুধু সমস্যা একটাই, ক বড্ড ভুলোমনা। প্রায় সকালেই ক এর খেয়াল থাকে না, আগের রাতে সে কি লেখেছিলেন, কিংবা আদৌ কিছু লেখেছিলেন কি না। খাতা দেখার পর , আস্তে আস্তে মনে পড়তে থাকে। এটা বাদেও আরেকটা অস্বাস্থ্যকর বদভ্যাস ক এর আছে, ক পেনসিল ছাড়া লিখতে পারেন না। এটা যদিও বদভ্যাস না, তবে সমস্যা হচ্ছে ক একনাগাড়ে পেনসিলের পেছন দিকটা চাবাতে থাকেন, ফলে পেনসিলের পেছন দিক সব সময়ই লালাতে মাখামাখি হয়ে থাকে আর ক ও পেটের রোগে ভোগেন বিস্তর।
অনেকদিন পরের কথা। ক কিছুদিন যাবৎ একদমই লেখতে পারছেন না। সব বড় লেখকের যা হয় – ক সৃষ্টির প্রসব বেদনায় কাতরাচ্ছেন, কিন্তু পর্বত হয়ে নিদেন পক্ষে ইঁদুরও প্রসব করতে পারছেন না। নিজের বন্ধ্যাত্বে হতাশ হয়ে একদিন ক আত্মহত্যা করলেন। আমরা আগেই বলেছিলাম, ক ছিলেন এক মাত্র সাহিত্যিক – তাই তাঁর মৃত্যুতে পৃথিবী থেকে সাহিত্য বিলুপ্ত হল। পৃথিবী এক পুরানো অধ্যায়ে নতুনভাবে প্রবেশ করলো, সাহিত্যহীনতার যুগ।
গল্পের প্রায় শেষ দিকে এসে আমরা তাকাই খ এর দিকে। খ এর সারাজীবন ক এর মত বর্ণিল নয় কোন মতেই। সারা জীবন সে যত্ন নিয়ে কিছুই করেনি। তবে গত কিছুদিন ধরে সে নিষ্ঠা ভরে শুধু একটা কাজই করত – রোজ রাতে ক যা লিখতেন, তা রাবার দিয়ে মুছে দিত।

An Award Winning Photography

I have got it many days ago (like4-5 years) in internet. After that I just forgot about this. Today I was going through my old stuffs in Hard Disk Drive and found this. Then I decided to share this with you, readers of my blog.

The Photo is the Pulitzer Prize Winning photo taken in 1994 during the Sudan Famine. The picture depicts a famine stricken child crawling towards an United Nations food camp, located a kilometer away.
The vulture is waiting for the child to die so that it can eat it. This picture shocked the whole world. No one knows what happened to the child, including the photographer Kevin Carter who left that place as soon as the photograph was taken.
Three months later he committed suicide due to depression.
Award Winning Photography is obviously a copyright protected content. With due respect to copyright law, I have shared this photography with you because I think this photography is exceptional since it can change our thinking in many ways.
